Remy Martin’s next journey will take him to the G League.
The Cleveland Charge drafted the 6-foot guard out of Kansas as the 40th overall pick in the draft held on Sunday (Manila time).
Martin, 24, went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft.
In his senior year with the Wildcats, Martin averaged 8.63 points, 3.03 rebounds, 2.53 assists, and 0.63 steals.
Martin impressed in the NCAA tournament, leading the Jayhawks to the national championship.
NBA veteran Sam Merrill was the top overall pick, also going to the Charge.
Joe Wieskamp was selected second overall by Wisconsin.
Other notable players selected were Jared Rhoden (College Park), Rashad Vaughn (Cleveland), and Norris Cole (Grand Rapids).
