Cignal to launch UAAP Varsity Channel

Fans can take a trip down memory lane with the all-new UAAP Varsity Channel while waiting for Season 84.

The channel will launch tomorrow, September 8, exclusively on Cignal and Cignal Play.

And to have their very own channel, league executive director Atty. Rebo Saguisag can’t feel any happier.

“Nakakakilig. Nakakakilabot. Just having this own channel is surreal,” Saguisag said on The Game last Friday.

While waiting for next season – which Saguisag said they’re targeting to open on February 2022 – the channel will air iconic games from the past.

Also on the show that episode were Ateneo’s SJ Belangel, and UP’s Diego Dario serving as a guest co-hosts.

“Siguro naman the likes of SJ, Diego, Kiefer Ravena are really worth watching again.”

The first-of-its-kind exclusive channel is a testament to Cignal’s trust in the UAAP, it being the top collegiate league in the country.

“We have our own UAAP Varsity Channel so wala pa ngang laro, may channel na, and that just speaks of the trust that you give to us,” said Saguisag.
