It seems like clubs from the B.League are on a signing spree.
Days after Thirdy Ravena signed a contract with San-En, another Filipino in Calvin Abueva has received interest to play in Japan’s premier league as an Asian import.
This is according to Abueva’s Instagram story, posted Saturday morning.
However, Abueva disclosed to Tiebreaker Vods’ 2OT, presented by SMART Sports that he still has several months remaining in his contract with Phoenix.
Currently, 32-year-old is serving a suspension that has already lasted one year. And the Pampanga-native admitted that he still has a few Psych sessions left before he can be reinstated.
“‘Yung pangatlo is ‘yung psychology sessions.
Right now, Abueva has pivoted to starting a restaurant business to make ends meet.
According to him, he has lost his savings due to the suspension he was handed.
“’Yung time na ‘yun, walang-wala talaga akong naipon.
