Ray Parks Jr. did not play in TNT’s first game inside the PBA bubble in AUF Sports & Cultural Center, Sunday evening.
And according to a report by SPIN.ph, the 27-year-old stalwart sustained a calf injury during practice.
Tropang GIGA head coach Bong Ravena confirmed it after TNT’s 100-95 triumph over Alaska.
“We had one practice… Siguro nabigla nung sudden sprint, kaya na-injured ‘yung calf niya,” said the second-year Tropang GIGA mentor about Parks, since he and Simon Enciso arrived later in Clark than the rest of the squad.
“He’s been resting. Hopefully, by next game he can play already.”
The 6-foot-4 swingman was actually in uniform for the tilt.
Ravena is confident that the second generation cager — who averaged 14 points, 5.33 rebounds, and 3.33 assists per game last conference — will be ready to play when they take on Terra Firma on Terra Firma on Wednesday.
“Hopefullym the next game he will be playing.”
