Blacklist International outlasts ONIC Esports, rises in M3 lower bracket

Blacklist International took out fellow title favorite ONIC Esports, 2-1, in the second round of the M3 World Championship lower bracket at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday afternoon.

The Tier One-backed squad was coming off a surprising five-game loss against North America representative BTK. With the win, it has advanced to the third round of the lower bracket.

ONIC Esports clamped Kiel “OHEB” Soriano’s Beatrix early in Game One by taking out the outer turret down the bottom lane.

OHEB, though, managed to shrug it off as he led Blacklist International to a huge 17-13 win for the 1-0 lead. He finished with nine kills and three assists against just one death in 22 minutes and 49 seconds of action.

A botched ambush attempt doomed Blacklist International’s sweep attempt in Game Two.

Muhammad “Butss” Satrya Sanubari’s Esmeralda was the man of the hour in ONIC Esports’ 9-7 comeback win in 20 minutes and 59 seconds to tie the series at 1-all. The exp laner had a kill and five assists without a single death.

Domination was the name of the game for the Filipinos in the decider with OHEB’s Beatrix once again spearheading the charge.

He scored five in Blacklist International’s 7-1 win in 13 minutes and 37 seconds.

Blacklist International will take on the winner of the Bedel-Vivo Keyd lower bracket match tomorrow.
