Bianca Pagdanganan whipped up a rather solid round 2 in Volunteers of America Classic, Saturday morning (Manila time) at the Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas.
After a hard-luck opener, the LPGA rookie played with more composure towards a 1-over 72 for the day. She barely made the cut into the final rounds of the tournament after 18 holes.
Pagdanganan started from the backside after drawing most of her mishaps the previous day. This time, she took down this side with just two bogeys in the 15th and 16th holes.
The 2019 Southeast Asian Games champion took down the 14th hole at even par, and even ended the side with a birdie of a 1-over 37.
The confidence from that birdie carried into the front nine for Pagdanganan. She ended with an even 35 after a birdie in no. 6 canceled a bogey two holes prior.
Sweden’s Anna Nordviqst, and Americans Yealimi Noh and Jessica Korda wrested the lead at 4-under 138. On the other hand, Charly Hull struggled for the day.
As for Pagdanganan, she will attempt to continue her improvement and will try to climb further when she takes on the course for the third time starting 11:36PM (Manila time).
