Bianca Pagdanganan capped her first completed tournament of the year with a birdie to finish at 5-under 211 for a share of 41st place in the 2022 LPGA Drive On Championships, Sunday morning (Philippine time) at the Crown Colony Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida.
The finish gave the 24-year-old golfer an additional $6,162.00 (P315,499.76) and saw her debut at 74th place in the Race to CME Globe rankings.
Pagdanganan reached her highest at 6-under after gaining a shot after No. 12. She, however, needed an extra hit on the immediate following hole and then also on No. 15, to drop to 4-under.
The three-year pro, nonetheless, duplicated her Round 2 take of the final hole and finished the day once more — and her tournament — with a birdie.
Pagdanganan started well after gaining two shots from the front nine, once each off of No. 2 and No. 4, to get to 2-under at the onset.
Ireland’s Leona Maguire fended off the furious surge of the other golfers to take the inaugural winner’s trophy and the $225,000 (P11,520,195.75) prize with a final card of 18-under 198.
Pagdanganan was not entered in the next two tournaments of the tour, which will both be in Southeast Asia. She is set to get back on course more than a month later at the JTBC Classic in Carlsbad, California, on March 24.
