Bianca Pagdanganan climbs to t-37th in Pelican tourney

Bianca Pagdanganan improved on her performance for the day, finishing with a 2-over 142 in total to move up the leaderboard halfway through the 2020 Pelican Women’s Championship at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, Saturday (Manila time).

The 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist ended that day tied at 37th place with seven other players. She was 10 strokes adrift current leader Sei Young Kim of South Korea, but still in contention.

Taking the course for the second time brought more confidence to the 23-year-old Filipina. She bucked an early mishap in the opening hole and took the next two on birdies.

A bogey in the eighth, however, pushed her back to even and on 3-over in aggregate after nine holes.

Two more birdies in the back nine and another bogey in the 16th hole closed out the round for Pagdanganan.

There are two more rounds in Belleair happening this weekend.
