Benthings reveals real reason behind SUPER YOSHI benching

TNC Pro Team faced scrutiny during the opening week of the MPL Philippines after the coaching staff decided to bench team captain Czedrick “SUPER YOSHI” Romero.

In an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times, head coach Ben “Benthings” Maglaque revealed that the decision stemmed from incidents that occurred prior to the season.

With SUPER YOSHI benched, rookie goldlaner Cesar “Nomed” Sugarno was forced to play as the team’s main roamer while Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille manned the goldlane against MINANA Evos and AP.Bren.

The change resulted in a winless opening week for TNC as they appeared disoriented in their matches.

The losses seemed to motivate SUPER YOSHI, who felt helpless during the team’s defeats, leading to changes within the team.

“Pinakita niya sakin na nagwork hard siya. Pinakita niya sakin yung effort. Sobrang sipag siya at nagsestep-up siya as a captain,” shared the TNC coach.

With the incident behind them, TNC managed to secure a breakthrough win against Blacklist International. Despite following it up with a loss to ECHO, TNC aims to improve as the season progresses with SUPER YOSHI back as the team’s main roamer.
