Ben “Benthings” Maglaque has been a revelation for TNC this MPL Philippines Season Nine.
With that, the 25-year-old roamer turned a lot of heads this season, including Blacklist International coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza and M3 World Champion Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, to name a few.
“Speechless,” gushed Benthings after TNC’s 2-1 win over Blacklist International on Sunday night.
Still, despite the outpour of praise and support, Benthings vowed to never allow these things to get over his head. Instead, he will put everything to heart, using it as motivation as he strives to be a better version of himself moving forward.
After riding the bench in Season Eight, Benthings – who only played in two matches before Season Nine – finally got his break when TNC promoted him as a starter. Without a doubt, Benthings did not disappoint, leading the organization to the top spot of the MPL Philippines Season Nine with a league-best 19 points off a 6-3 standing.
Indeed, it has been a long way filled with a lot of sacrifices and hardships for Benthings. And now, he’s just glad to finally showcase his worth and see his hard work pay off.
“Sobrang saya.
