It felt like déjà vu when Echo succumbed to a 2-0 loss at the hands of TNC Pro Team during their Week 6 match-up, sending the reigning world champions to their second loss in three games.
The Orcas looked like they had drowned in dangerous waters recently, after six consecutive wins to start the season reminiscent of their Season 9 campaign. There, they suffered a 1-4 record in the final three weeks after leading the league standings for much of that season.
But Echo seemed to have learned their lessons this time, as the management quickly arranged a team meeting to discuss the loss.
During their Season 9 campaign, the team dubbed as the “Super Team” failed to meet expectations and suffered from an early exit during the playoffs. They are not leaving any stone unturned this time, with lessons from a bitter past and their world championship experience.
Echo (9-3) currently sits second in the standings with 24 points and will have a chance to secure an upper bracket berth in Week 8 against Smart Omega and RSG Slate Philippines.
