The worst has come for Beau Belga.
The stocky slotman opined that the foot injury he incurred early in the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters’ game versus the Columbian Dyip on Friday evening might be a case of plantar fasciitis.
Belga, who got hurt with 1:47 left in the first quarter and never returned, said that he has been feeling a bit of pain in his left foot, but it was only on Friday that he could no longer play through it.
“Duda ko plantar kasi sa talampakan, matagal ko na ring iniinda,” he said. “Actually nilalaro ko siya na masakit. Sabi ko gusto ko rin kasi kailangan ko tong matuluyan para mapunit.
“Para mag tuluy-tuloy yung paggaling, so now natuluyan na, paggaling na lang.”
Belga also regrets the poor timing of his injury, as he was having himself a good game prior to getting hurt – he already had seven points on 2-of-3 shooting and two rebounds.
Without him on the floor, the Elasto Painters struggled especially in the final chapter and lost, 84-100, helping Columbian break their 25-game losing streak in the Governors’ Cup.
Moreover, Rain or Shine were swept by Columbian this season.
“Nakaka-frustrate kasi maayos start ko kanina, sabi ko when every game maayos start ko maganda galaw namin,” said the 31-year-old.
“Wala na akong magagawa eh.”
