Bagunas checked as Oita Miyoshi suffers fifth straight loss in V.League


Oita Miyoshi’s slide continued, absorbing a 21-25, 22-25, 12-25 beating from Toray, Sunday in the 2021-22 V. League Division 1 men’s tournament at the Mishima City Gymnasium in Shizuoka.

Bryan Bagunas was limited to single digit, only making nine points on 19 spiking attempts as the Weisse Adler slipped to their fifth straight loss.

KrysztiƔn PƔdƔr once again led the Arrows with 16 points on 14 attacks, a block, and a service ace.

Shoma Tomita had a field day from the service line, tallying seven of Toray’s 10 aces, to go with seven hits to finish with 14 points.

Hiroki Ozawa chimed in nine points as the Arrows rose to 18-8

Oita’s Venezuelan import Emerson Rodriguez was the lone player to reach double digits with 11 points.

The Weisse Adler slid to 5-21 still at ninth place with 10 games left in their schedule.

They will have back-to-back games against JTEKT next weekend at their home turf at the Showa Denko Dome.
