Thirdy Ravena and San-En ended their 2021-22 B.League season with a nine-game losing streak, capped by a stinging 76-85 loss to Akita, Sunday at Toyohashi City Gymnasium.
Ravena only had five points on 2-of-9 shooting with four assists and two rebounds to close out the second year of his stay with the NeoPhoenix. He is still under contract with San-En next year.
San-En, meanwhile, ended its campaign with a 10-48 record. They are second-worst in the 22-team league.
The NeoPhoenix led by as many as 15 points early in the contest. Then Takatoshi Furukawa and the rest of the Northern Happinets rallied back.
San-En fell behind 63-72 midway through the final frame.
Elias Harris was able to cut the lead down to five with 18 seconds left, but clutch free throws by Jordan Glynn sealed off any NeoPhoenix hijack attempt.
Akita ends its season with a 31-33 record, sixth in the East.
Furukawa led Akita with 17 points while Glynn tallied 13 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Both Noboru Hasegawa and Shigehiro Taguchi chipped in 11 markers apiece.
Harris paced San-En with 23 points while Shota Tsuyama added 17.
