Bobby Ray Parks Jr. provided the spark in lifting Nagoya to a 101-86 win over Mikawa to open the 2022-23 B.League season, Thursday at Dolphins Arena.
Parks, who is in his second year with the Diamond Dolphins, fired four treys for 14 points to go along with four assists.
The second-generation cager’s two-way play helped Nagoya erect a 50-37 halftime lead.
The lead went to as high as 21 points, 100-79, with 2:20 left in the game.
Coty Clarke led the way for Nagoya with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists while new Nagoya import Maurice Ndour added 16 points.
Scott Eatherton also got 11 points and nine rebounds.
Anthony Lawrence Ⅱ was the high point man for the Seahorses with 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists while Kyle O’Quinn got 17 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
The two squads face off again tomorrow.
