For the second consecutive game, Shiga was routed by Hokkaido, absorbing a 73-100 loss in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday at Hokkai Kitayeru.
The Lakestars actually fared better in the first half of this game compared to their 74-96 loss yesterday, leading 41-40 at the half.
However, Levanga turned it up in the third frame as De’Mon Brooks fired 14 of his 25 points during the quarter. The rest of Levanga followed the American import’s lead, scoring a total of 34 points while limiting Shiga to just 6-of-19 shooting from the field to gain a 74-60 lead heading into the final frame.
From there, Hokkaido punished Shiga in the final frame, scoring 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting to gain a lead that went to as high as 27 points — the final score of the game.
Levanga went up to 17-31 in the standings while dropping the Lakestars to 12-36.
Shawn Long also got 19 points and 12 rebounds for Hokkaido while Shuto Terazono tallied 16 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.
Novar Gadson paced Shiga with 23 points and seven rebounds while Kiefer Ravena added 16 points, three assists, and two rebounds before fouling out late.
Sean O’Mara also added 10 points and 17 rebounds.
