B.League: Javi GDL goes scoreless in final game for Ibaraki


Javi Gomez de Liaño only had a minute and 38 seconds of game time in his final game for Ibaraki.

The Robots, meanwhile, ended their 2021-22 B.League season run with an 84-95 loss to the Gunma Crane Thunder, Sunday at Adastria Mito Arena.

Gomez de Liaño, who is set to enter the 2022 PBA Rookie Draft, only played during the tail-end of the opening stanza of the game.

The Robots figured in a slow start in the contest, falling behind 26-13, and never recovered.

Gunma, who ended its campaign with a 25-30 record, finished in seventh place in the east.

Trey Jones led the Crane Thunder with 30 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, while Michael Parker got 18 points and 11 rebounds. Kei Igarashi chipped in 11 points as well.

Meanwhile, the Robots finished with a 16-38 slate, fifth-worst in the league.

Kohei Fukuzawa was the high point man of Ibaraki with 20 points, while Eric Jacobsen tallied a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Atsunobu Hirao also got 16 points and five assists.
