Aurora continues to struggle in the M6 World Championship, suffering a tough defeat against Jankurt “KurtTzy” Matira and Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro’s NIP Flash (Singapore). The Filipino squad fell 1-0 on Day 2 of the Swiss Stage at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center in Malaysia.
This loss puts Aurora in a precarious position with a 0-2 record. One more defeat would mean elimination from the world championship.
“NIP Flash played exceptionally well today. They just outsmarted and outplayed us,” said Aurora assistant coach Dexter “Dex Star” Alaba in the post-match interview.
The match began with a tight back-and-forth battle, but the turning point came during the 6:47 Turtle fight, where Aurora was wiped out. This devastating clash left the team struggling to recover and regain control of the game.
Despite their efforts, Aurora could not mount a comeback, with the game ending in just 14 minutes and 19 seconds.
The final kill score stood at 8-17 in favor of NIP Flash.
Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro (Joy) was named MVP, delivering a flawless performance with five kills and eight assists.
Jankurt “KurtTzy” Matira (Yve) also made a strong impact, finishing with four kills, two deaths, and 10 assists.
