DASMARIÑAS, CAVITE – The 2025 Premier Volleyball League On Tour continues to be the gift that keeps on giving.
In the final provincial stop of the preseason tournament — which has already made rounds in Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Rizal, Iloilo, and Cebu — Chery Tiggo’s Ara Galang gave one fan a night to remember.
Following the Crossovers’ 25-23, 25-22, 25-21 sweep of the Galeries Tower Highrisers that secured their place in the quarterfinals on Saturday at the Dasmariñas Arena here, Nanay Flordeliza Reyes patiently waited for her long-time idol: Ara Galang.
That wait proved worthwhile, as she finally got her moment.
“Ang lakas ng tibok ng dibdib ko. Tuwang tuwa ako, nangangatog ako sa tuwa,” said Nanay Flordeliza after the emotional encounter.
Reyes shared that she has been a fan of both Galang and Aby Maraño since their college days at De La Salle University in the UAAP.
She even followed their journey as teammates in the now-defunct F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
“Matagal na po, F2 pa sila, bago pa sila mag F2, La Salle pa,” said Reyes.
When asked why she looks up to Galang and Maraño, Nanay Flordeliza’s answer was simple but heartfelt.
“Mahusay sila saka mabait.”
