Jack Animam continues to raise her game in the First Women’s Basketball League.
Animam powered SPD Radnički to a morale-boosting 81-72 win over Duga at the SBB Hala Jezero in Kragujevac, Serbia, Saturday evening (Manila time).
The 6-foot-3 Bulacan-native impressed yet again. She posted a line of 28 points on 13-of-15 shooting with 15 rebounds, six assists, five blocks, and three steals.
The National University product started hot, going 7-of-7 from the field during the first 20 minutes of action that gave her side a 44-40 lead.
Animam would only miss her first attempt in the final frame.
Despite the dominant game of Animam, Duga kept pace with Radnicki, who entered the game with a two-game skid.
With Radnicki holding a 10-point lead heading into the final frame, Duga was able to cut the lead down to two, 68-66, after a quick 8-0 blitz.
Andrea Glomazić, though, nailed back-breaking buckets to buck any Duga hijack from happening.
Glomazić complemented Animam with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Minela Mehović played her best game so far with 16 points built on four triples. Milica Inđić added 15 points but needed 13 attempts to do so.
Duga, who dropped to 2-2, was led by Olga Stepanović’s double-double outing of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Aleksandra Punoševac also had 20 points.
Up next for Animam and Radnicki are Vršac doo on October 30.
