Alyssa Solomon was stretchered off the court after suffering an apparent left knee injury in the first set of the Alas Pilipinas Women’s virtual bronze-medal match against Indonesia in the 2025 Southeast Asia V.League in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
The Nationals opened the match with a 12-9 lead, with Solomon spearheading a quick 4-1 run.
She delivered a through-the-block hit, a solid rejection, and an ace to extend the lead to 17-10.
However, disaster struck when an Indonesian player attempted a cross-court attack.
Solomon chased the ball in an effort to save it but landed awkwardly, banging her knee against the Taraflex floor.
The former National University standout and UAAP Season 86 Finals MVP remained down for over two minutes before being stretchered off.
Before the injury, Solomon was having a stellar start, accounting for six of the Nationals’ points — four from attacks, one from a block, and one from an ace.
Solomon eventually returned to the Alas bench.
