Alab Pilipinas continue to stack up its line-up for the upcoming 2017-18 ASEAN Basketball League season. Through the team’s official Twitter account, the Philippine-representatives in the Southeast Asian club league announced three guards that will join Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. and Jimmy Alapag in this campaign.
Headlining the troika is former Cignal HD Hawkeye floor general Pamboy Raymundo.
Raymundo, 28, averaged 10.08 points, 2.23 rebounds, and 4.69 points during Cignal HD’s golden run in the 2017 Foundation Cup. He is set to reunite with fellow-Hawkeye Oping Sumalinog in the campaign.
Joining Raymundo is known-gunner Josh Urbiztondo.
Urbiztondo, 34, will enter his second stint in the ABL, as he was part of the Singapore Slingers’ runners-up finish in the 2016-17 season. The eight-year pro averaged 10.78 points, 4.11 rebounds, and 2.89 assists in that season.
Rounding-up up the trio of guards for Alab is someone who is familiar with Parks, Jr.
Former NU Bulldog Pao Javelona was also tapped by the team. Javelona, 25, last played for Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League. The defensive specialist posted norms of 9.33 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.33 assists during the Foundation Cup.
