2018 FIBA 3X3 World Cup

3×3 teams, U-17 squad learn fate in World Cups


The three Philippine squads that will compete in June during their respective World Cups now know their opponents.

For the 3×3 World Cup, whichwill be played at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, the Philippines will have their hands full this coming June.

The Men’s Team are in Pool C along with world number three Russia; world number six Brazil; Canada; and the reigning Asian 3×3 champions Mongolia.

The Filipinas, meanwhile, are in Pool C of the Women’s Division with world number five Hungary; world number six Netherlands; Spain, and Germany.

The mentioned rankings are their spots in their respective divisions.

On the other hand, Kai Sotto and Batang Gilas are grouped with three of the world’s best in Group D of the Under-17 World Cup set to be held in Rosario and Santa Fe, Argentina from June 30 to July 8.

The Philippines was pooled together with powerhouses Croatia and France, together with host Argentina.
