ZOOS Tokyo are the queens of Manila Hustle 3×3 Season 2 on Sunday at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
The Japanese squad flexed its muscles right from the get-go to take the 21-13 runaway victory over Titans in the finals of the two-day tournament that was streamed live for free and open to all networks on the SMART Livestream App and the Facebook pages of Smart Sports and Puso Pilipinas.
Tournament MVP Aoi Katsura made eight points while Onodera wowed her way to six, including the final three points to secure the title and the USD 3,000 cash prize that came with it. Ama Degbeon and Asako Asaba also provided key contributions for the victors.
The Titans’ effort, however, was to be commended as they played all but one game with just three players after Trina Guytingco went down in the first game of the tilt presented by Uratex and Smart.
Lina Nakazawa carried Titans in the bridesmaid finish with eight points as they still bagged USD 2,000.

Onodera led the Mythical Three alongside Bo Supavadee of Titans and Joylyn Pangilinan of Discovery Perlas.
Jhazmin Joson completed the trio for the runners-up.
Discovery Perlas improved from their fourth-place finish last season after escaping Tokyo Dime in the battle for bronze, 21-20.
Hazelle Yam of Discovery also ruled the side Two-Point Shootout event to pocket the USD 200 prize.
Grace Irebu and Allana Lim, two former MVPs in the UAAP, rounded out the quartet of Discovery.
