Zebaztian Kadestam vies for vacant Welterweight crown

After conquering the Asia-Pacific region, Zebaztian Kadestam looks to become a world champion.

Former Pacifix Xtreme Combat Welterweight Champion Kadestam (10-4) will take on Tyler McGuire (11-0) in the main event of ONE: Warriors Dream on Saturday, November 17. The match will be for the vacant ONE Welterweight World Championship.

Just last week, the promotion’s Welterweight crown was officially declared vacant after ONE completed a trade that sent former champion Ben Askren to the UFC in exchange for Demetrious Johnson.

Kadestam, who trains with Legacy Gym Boracay together with Ole Laursen, had his first crack at the belt back in September of 2017. The 28-year-old Swede lost to Askren by way of TKO in the second round.

He bounced back big time with an emphatic third-round TKO win over Agilan Thani last July 2018.

McGuire, on the other hand, is no slouch.

In the same card, the American overwhelmed Luis Santos in his debut for his 11th career win.
