Philippine sports suffered another heartbreaking loss last Saturday.
Veteran anchor and journo Zaldy Perez (February 23, 1957 – April 23, 2022) passed away following a tough battle with pancreatic cancer (stage four).
Perez, 65, passed peacefully in his home in Morong, Bataan.
He was a staple in afternoon news, serving as an anchor for PTV4 and, later on, UNTV.
Perez also served as an announcer for Radyo Pilipinas while also contributing stories for Balita and Tempo.
Before being diagnosed with cancer, Perez co-hosted One PH’s The Chasedown and iSport Lang.
He is survived by his wife Annie, son Sebastian, and grandchild Alon.
Interment will be on Thursday at the Morong Cemetery.
