Adamson got another Fil-foreign recruit to boost its backcourt. And the latest Soaring Falcon has a surname all too familiar for Filipino fans.
Flever Dignadice, the nephew of nine-time PBA champion and former national team player Yves, has committed to Adamson.
And going to Adamson was an easy one to make for the 19-year-old product of St. Genevieve High School.
“I chose Adamson because they believe in me the most.
“I also like the coaching staff stepping in this year who has a history of winning and I want to be part of that culture,” said Flever, who had a couple of UAAP schools who tried to recruit him as well.
Flever, who traces his roots to Iloilo, is a 6-foot-1 combo guard.
“I play hard. Every time I’m on the court you can expect me to give my one-hundred percent,” Flever described regarding his game. “Shooting is also something I’ve been doing my whole life and I expect it to translate there.”
Close is Flever to his uncle Yves.
To prepare him for the upcoming UAAP season, Yves, a product of De La Salle University, has already given his nephew a lot of tips.
“I’ve been talking to him a lot and he keeps telling me to be myself.
“Just to play hard and the rest will follow. He also tells me to keep staying in the gym and working hard on my skills,” shared Flever.
Flever though has to sit out Season 84 as after high school, he took college units in prep school Southern California Academy.
He joins AP Punzalan, RS Delos Reyes, Joaquin Jaymalin, Jhon Cailsay, RV Yanes, Matty Erolon, and Josh Barcelona as the rookies of the Soaring Falcons this season.
