Mylene Paat praised setter Alina Bicar for embracing the leadership role inside the court for Chery Tiggo in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
Paat continued to provide the scoring for the Crossovers, unloading 22 points on 20 attacks, an ace, and a block in just three sets against F2 Logistics. Meanwhile, Bicar showed off her steady playmaking and tossed 20 excellent sets to go along with three points in the 25-19, 25-14, 25-16 win.
“Ngayon nakaka-block, nakaka-single block and yung leadership.
For her part, Bicar said that she just aims to give her best in every game and help her side secure wins in the All-Filipino Conference after finishing eighth in the previous edition last year.
Gusto ko mag-help sa team kapag kailangan nila ako basta always lang ako ready,” said the 5-foot-6 playmaker from University of Santo Tomas.
Bicar also credited fellow setter Jasmine Nabor for helping her and giving her reminders whenever she’s inside the court. She then deflected credit to the rest of the Crossovers as well.
Chery Tiggo is currently tied with Creamline at the top spot with identical 3-0 records. So far, the Crossovers have only dropped one set in the tournament, sweeping both Cignal and F2 Logistics while taking down Army-Black Mamba in four sets.
