Vic Manuel saw limited action during Phoenix Super LPG’s loss to reigning champs Ginebra in their 2021 Honda PBA Philippine Cup tiff, Wednesday night.
This because the ‘Muscle Man’ suffered a leg injury, the Fuel Masters announced through their official Twitter account hours after the 87-94 defeat.
It was unspecified, however, how exactly he got hurt against the Barangay, who were also without Japeth Aguilar due to an MCL sprain.
“Vic Manuel suffered a leg injury in the first half of our game against Barangay Ginebra,” the team wrote.
Manuel only played for eight minutes and 59 seconds. He went scoreless and only had three rebounds and an assist to his name.
Prior to Wednesday, the 34-year-old forward was averaging 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 21.5 minutes.
Tiebreaker Times have reached out to Phoenix for further details of his injury, but they have yet to respond as of this posting.
The Fuel Masters saw their two-game winning streak snapped. They are currently ninth in the standings with a 4-6 record.
