A day before leaving the PBA bubble, Vic Manuel made sure to drop by the room of one of his best friends in the world, Calvin Abueva.
Manuel spent time with Abueva before leaving the bubble, Sunday.
And the two even had a jersey swap with Manuel wearing Abueva’s no. 8 Phoenix jersey while the latter wearing the former’s Alaska no. 24.
“Good luck sa semis pare,” read Manuel’s post.
“See you pag labas mo!”
Manuel, who has suited up for Alaska for the past six years, encouraged every member of the Gatas Republic to cheer on Phoenix.
“Mahal na mahal pa rin kayo ni Calvin kaya suportahan natin ang Phoenix sa semis,” said Manuel.
“Pero huwag niyo kakalimutan ang Alaska,” quipped Abueva, who was traded from the Aces to the Fuel Masters back on August of 2018.
Phoenix advanced to the semis yesterday after eking out an 89-88 win over Magnolia.
Alaska, however, was booted out of the bubble earlier after bowing to TNT, 83-104.
