Verano, Mendoza, Andrade join Tio, Mamuyac in one last ‘Song for Mary’

It seems that it’s not just Tyler Tio and Gian Mamuyac who have played their final playing with Ateneo de Manila University.

During the final singing of Song for Mary for the Blue Eagles, the two were joined by Raffy Verano, Jolo Mendoza, and BJ Andrade. The team paid tribute to them to close out their UAAP Season 84 Men’s Basketball Tournament campaign.

Being in front during the singing of the alma mater hymn signifies that the student-athlete has ended his collegiate career.

There are some instances, though, wherein a Blue Eagle backpedals. Chris Tiu did so during the late 2000s.

Both Tio and Mamuyac entered the 2022 PBA Rookie Draft, which takes place on Sunday at Robinson’s Place Malate.

Andrade withdrew his name at the last minute.

For University of the Philippines, Ricci Rivero and Noah Webb played their final games.
