Reigning champion University of Batangas kept its flawless record in the volleyball competition of the 2025 PG Flex–UCAL Season 8 after overpowering Immaculada Concepcion College, 25-21, 25-22, 25-13, in a rematch of last year’s finals on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the UB Millennium Gym in Batangas City.
By securing their fourth straight win — and 15th consecutive victory since last year’s grand sweep — the Brahmans once again leaned on their dynamic duo, Prince Ramirez and Aldrin Rosales, to prevail over the very team they defeated thrice in the previous season.
Ramirez led the charge with 13 points, all coming from attacks, while Rosales chipped in 12 as the Brahmans stayed firmly on course toward one of two outright semifinal berths in the eight-team tournament.
ICC, meanwhile, slipped to second place with a 3-1 record, followed by PCU-Dasmariñas (2-1), CEU (2-1), LPU (2-2), MCU (1-3), PWU (1-3), and Diliman (0-4).
On the women’s side, defending champions ICC Lady Blue Hawks and the Lyceum-Batangas Lady Pirates also remained unbeaten through four games after dispatching their respective foes.
Behind the efforts of Fima Joy Casera and JL Bravo, the Lady Blue Hawks cruised past the UB Lady Brahmans, 25-15, 25-22, 25-18. The Lady Pirates, on the other hand, outlasted the Olivarez Lady Sea Lions, 25-15, 25-23, 25-21.
CEU currently sits in third place with a 3-1 slate, trailed by PCU (2-2), UB (1-3), MCU (1-3), PWU (1-3), and Olivarez (0-4).
