UAAP Season 87 is ‘Stronger, Better, Together’ with EastWest Ageas

EastWest Ageas continues its commitment to supporting young Filipino athletes as it enters its second year as an official broadcast sponsor for the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

“This is truly a great year for Filipinos in sports. Fresh from the Olympic high of the country’s very first two gymnastics gold medals, EastWest Ageas is eager to be part of a program that actively molds and hones future athletes who will bring honor to the Philippines,” said Sjoerd Smeets, CEO and President of EastWest Ageas.

Aligned with the UAAP Season 87 theme, “Stronger, Better, Together,” EastWest Ageas champions the power of partnerships in helping young athletes reach new heights of success. With UAAP being the country’s premier collegiate sports event, the insurance provider sees the partnership as an ideal platform to inspire the next generation of Filipino sports stars.

“Through our partnership with the UAAP as a broadcast sponsor, we hope more young Filipinos will be inspired to find their purpose and the people they will give their best to. May they be fueled by an unwavering passion to pursue their dreams and the courage to take bold, decisive actions for a better tomorrow, no matter their goals,” Smeets added.

UAAP Season 87 Men’s Basketball action tips off on September 7, with coverage on One Sports, UAAP Varsity Channel, and the Pilipinas Live app.
