UAAP postpones Sunday’s games

As the country continues to feel the effects of Typhoon Ompong, the UAAP has announced that it will also postpone the men’s basketball games scheduled for Sunday, September 16.

“As Typhoon Ompong ravages Northern Luzon, and affecting Metro Manila as well with heavy rains, tomorrow’s games will likewise be reset to another date,” said UAAP Season 81 Board of Directors President Nilo Ocampo.

“Thank you and stay safe.”

Games slated for Sunday at the Filoil Flying V Centre were the UE Red Warriors (0-1) taking on the NU Bulldogs (1-0) at 12:00nn.

In the main game, the UST Growling Tigers (1-1) and the UP Fighting Maroons (1-1) were supposed to create separation from one another.

With this, the one-game suspension of Fighting Maroons head coach Bo Perasol will be served on Sunday, September 23, when UP take on the FEU Tamaraws.
