The exodus at the University of the East continued this week.
According to sources closely monitoring the situation, at least five Red Warriors formally left the school on Tuesday evening.
Confirmed names of those who have already left the team include incoming juniors MJ Langit and Josh Alcantara, incoming sophomores Allen Maglupay and JM Tulabut, and incoming senior John Matthew Manalang.
Langit and Alcantara are guards, while Maglupay is a winger. Tulabut and Manalang are bigs.
Except for Manalang, the four former Warriors are most likely moving to the NCAA.
The series of departures has been alarming for UE as it has been occurring for the past three years.
Harvey Pagsanjan did not use his final year to move to Emilio Aguinaldo College, while good pal Clint Escamis went back to Mapua University.
Gani Stevens and Kyle Paranada also jumped ship to University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas, respectively.
Last month, Noy Remogat also transferred to UP.
It has been 15 years since UE last made the Final Four in the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament.
For the last three years, the Red Warriors have accumulated a 9-33 record.
