Troy Rosario will miss Game Six due to a once-in-a-lifetime moment
Second-year stretch forward Troy Rosario is not expected to suit-up for the TNT Katropa’s Game Six tilt against the San Miguel Beermen on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena due to his wedding with college sweetheart Michelle Aguas.
“We are not expecting him to arrive in time,” said TNT head coach Nash Racela.
Rosario is a pivotal piece in TNT’s rotation in the series, logging in 20.6 minutes in the first five games to post norms of 6.2 points and 4.6 rebounds. However, his wedding was planned a year ago and no one expected that it would hit a pivotal game for TNT.
The couple is currently checked in at Novotel in Cubao, some 15 kilometers away from the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Moreover, the wedding ceremony is scheduled to start at 3:00pm, two games before tip-off.
Danny Seigle, Moala Tautuaa, and Matt Ganuelas-Rosser are expected to fill in for the hole Rosario leaves on Saturday.
And Rosarios wants nothing more than for the TNT Katropa to end the series tonight.
