Versatile TNT forward Troy Rosario figured in an accident during the Katropa’s clash with the Phoenix Fuel Masters on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena, in an unfortunate scenario where he had to be carried off on a stretcher.
With 11:36 in the final frame and with TNT up 61-58, a rebounding Rosario fell face first to the ground as he landed on a decked Jason Perkins, who had apparently been pushed by Rosario’s teammate Kelly Williams.
The three-year pro suffered a cut on his chin, but he had to be put on a stretcher by the medical personnel who attended him for a possible concussion.
Rosario finished the game with four points, eight rebounds, an assist, and a steal in over 21 minutes. According to reports, the six-foot-seven big man will be brought to Makati Medical Center for further treatment.
Rosario is part of the Gilas pool that will compete in the second window of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
