Trisha Tubu grateful to unexpected support group against online bullies

Trisha Tubu has been the target of bullying in the UAAP due to her physical appearance, which according to the social media bullies is “manly”.

But this was not the first time the rookie at Adamson University experienced this type of distasteful remarks from people hiding behind their gadgets.

Tubu has experienced harassment since her high school playing days with the Lady Baby Falcons and before her UAAP collegiate debut. But during the Shakey’s Super League, the bullying reached a new level, with not only single accounts but also meme pages and the like commenting about her appearance.

“Mas marami pa nga po yun nung Shakey’s pero ngayon po bumaligtad na, mas marami po yung sumusuporta sa akin kaya sobrang thankful ko po sa kanila,” she added, noting the rise of her followers due to her impressive showing for the 2-1 Adamson, which trounced FEU on Saturday in four sets.

Tubu holds no grudge against the bullies though, instead, she changes those negative comments into positive ones.

Those comments motivate her to do even better after dropping 11 against University of the East, 16 against National U, and 14 against the Lady Tamaraws.

Tubu also found an ‘Ate’ in Petro Gazz middle blocker Remy Palma.

Palma, during the Adamson-FEU clash, called out the bullies on her Twitter account.

Tubu is not gonna lose to the faceless bullies though as she will only treat them with kindness.
