Trisha Genesis forgoes remaining years in Adamson, joins Akari

Trisha Genesis is ready to start the next chapter of her career.

Akari announced that it has signed Genesis for its maiden campaign in the Premier Volleyball League this October.

This means that Genesis will no longer play her remaining three years of eligibility at Adamson University.

Genesis, 22, made an immediate imprint during her rookie season, powering the Lady Falcons to the 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference. The 5-foot-7 spiker out of Laguna was the tournament’s conference MVP.

In UAAP Season 84, Genesis shone brightly. She even became the league’s sixth top scorer following the elimination round with 184 points.

However, the Lady Falcons fell short in the playoff for fourth seed against Ateneo.

Genesis joins Michelle Cobb and Jho Maraguinot with the Power Chargers.
