Tots Carlos is quickly shifting her focus to Creamline’s next assignments following her career-best performance in the Cool Smashers’ closely contested four-set victory over Akari in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
Carlos scored 31 points with a 55-percent attack rate in the 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19 victory over the Chargers on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.
The three-time PVL MVP, however, is not placing too much emphasis on her personal-best outing as she remains laser-focused on the Cool Smashers’ title defense against an improved PVL field.
“Well, ang mindset naman lagi namin na sinasabi ni coach na after one game, tapos na kasi napakahaba nung season, napakaraming team. Every time na matapos namin ‘yung isang laro, natapos na ‘yung trabaho, mindset na kami into the next game,” said Carlos after the game.
Carlos also deflected the credit to her teammates and coaches, who she believes are responsible for her 31-point outing.
Tulong-tulong ‘yan. Kaya lang nakaka-score ‘yung isang player dahil sa tulong ng mga teammates namin,” said the former UP star.
After putting up her best performance in the pros, the 25-year-old opposite spiker shared that she is still eager to learn and is finding ways to improve and become a better version of herself.
“Yung nilalaro ko ngayon, even me, ‘di ako makapaniwala.
So ‘yon, honestly, gusto ko pang matuto pa. ‘Yun po.”
