Topex brings in Oliver Bunyi as La Salle big man coach

The cast is now complete for Topex Robinson’s coaching staff at De La Salle University.

Oliver Bunyi has committed full-time to be the Green Archers’ big man coach.

It is a homecoming for Bunyi who played for the Green Archers during the late 80s and was an assistant coach to Juno Sauler in the early 2010s.

“He gives us a lot of wisdom,” said Robinson as Bunyi has 23 years of coaching experience, including stints with Gilas 1.0, San Miguel, Globalport, and Emilio Aguinaldo College.NCAA-95-JRU-vs.-EAC-Oliver-Bunyi-7793 Topex brings in Oliver Bunyi as La Salle big man coach Basketball DLSU News UAAP - philippine sports news

“Masarap kasama because he challenges all of us.”

During Bunyi’s three years with the Generals, Bunyi was able to develop the likes of Allen Liwag and JP Maguliano.

Bunyi joins the likes of Caloy Garcia, Mon Jose, Gian Nazario, and JB Sison.

“He perfectly fits our criteria. He will be our big man coach. With Coach Oliver, we were able to obtain balance.”

Like Robinson, Bunyi will be full-time with the Green Archers.
