After six years, Almond Vosotros has bid goodbye to TNT.
In a short yet heartfelt post on Facebook, the veteran guard expressed gratitude after being let go by the franchise he enjoyed tremendous success with.
“Thank you so much for the 6 wonderful years, TNT,” he wrote.
“It’s been an honor and privilege to become part of your winning culture for both 3×3 and 5-on-5. On to the next.”
The Tropang Giga did not renew Vosotros at the end of the last Commissioner’s Cup, which they conquered after beating Ginebra.
That marked the end of an era as well, as they have let go of the main driving force behind their reign of dominance in the now-defunct PBA 3×3.
The former Gilas Cadet powered his Triple Giga to a total of six grand championships, including a Grand Slam in the 2022-23 season.
His success on local soil translated onto the global stage too, as he led Gilas to a fourth-place finish in the 2022 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup in Singapore.
Vosotros also has a 3×3 Southeast Asian Games silver medal to boot after leading the Nationals to the Finals of the 2023 competitions in Cambodia.
Now, he’s open to exploring all possible options as an unrestricted free agent.
And he’d be bringing with him the experiences he shared with TNT, who signed his services for the EASL’s The Terrific 12 in Macau back in 2019.
“Thankful talaga ako sa kanila,” Vosotros told Tiebreaker Times. “Hindi rin biro ‘yung six years na ginugol ko kasama sila. Sobrang pasalamat talaga ako.”
