TNT, GBP, Meralco, NLEX figure in blockbuster trade

In a huge blockbuster trade involving all three teams owned by Manny V. Pangilinan and the Globalport Batang Pier, a total of seven players and three draft picks were moved, as the league approved Saturday afternoon.

TNT have shipped Larry Fonacier to the NLEX Road Warriors and will gain Anthony Semerad and the first round pick of Globalport in the 2017 draft.

On the other hand, JR Quinahan is set to reunite with coach Yeng Guiao in NLEX. Together with the Cebuano, the Road Warriors will receive the second round pick of Meralco (from Mahindra) in the 2017 draft and the second round pick of Globalport in the 2019 draft — along with Fonacier.

Globalport will receive three key players in the trade, as they get Sean Anthony and Bradwyn Guinto from NLEX and Jonathan Grey from Meralco.

Meralco, a team that gave away Grey and a second round pick for the 2017 draft, will get Garvo Lanete from NLEX.
