Thirdy Ravena triumphant in return as San-En ends eight-game skid

Thirdy Ravena made a triumphant return to the B.League as San-En NeoPhoenix scored an impressive 83-69 win over Levanga Hokkaido, Saturday at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center.

Ravena, who had missed the last four games of San-En as he tested positive for COVID-19 last November 27, only put up five points, three rebounds, and two assists — far from his usual numbers.

Still, the 23-year-old winger was still able to finally gain some game time, especially late in the game.

Stevan Jelovac continued to be the high point man for San-En, tallying 21 points and 10 rebounds.

The Serbian towed NeoPhoenix to a 41-28 halftime edge before extending to lead to as much as 30, 73-43.

Kyle Hunt added 22 points and 11 boards while Takanobu Nishikawa added 11 markers built on three triples.

San-En rose to 3-17 with the victory while dropping Hokaido to 4-15.

Javad Williams led Lavenga with 15 points and eight rebounds.

The two teams square off again tomorrow.
