Terrafirma enters PBA 3×3 Leg 3 playoffs undefeated

Terrafirma dominated an undermanned Zamboanga, 21-8, to enter the PBA 3×3 Leg 3 quarterfinals unscathed, Sunday at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Terrence Tumalip made six points, while Matt Salem, Jebb Bulawan, and Dhon Reverente all scored five markers. The inspired unit leaned on collective effort yet again to clinch the top spot in Pool A with a perfect 4-0 record.

Game was level at 2-all early, but that proved the closest point of the match. The Dyip raced to a 13-3 advantage and never looked back since.

Reverente scored on an unmolested lay-up off a baseline drive with 2:51 left to play to finally put the struggling Valientes out of their misery.

The guest team only played with JR Cawaling, Kyle Neypes, and Rey De Mesa as homegrown talent Das Esa reportedly suffered an Achilles injury. Zamboanga remains as the only winless team in the tilt after 12 games.

Also joining Terrafirma as the quarterfinalists in Pool A are Meralco and Pioneer ProTibay. The Bolts secured the second-seed by beating NorthPort, 22-18.

Meanwhile, Sista finished the elimination round unbeaten as well, taking down Barangay Ginebra by way of a 20-17 decision to finish atop Pool B at 3-0.

Platinum Karaoke is the other team from the same pool now assured of a quarters trip. The veteran-laden guest squad did so after downing San Miguel.

Ultimately, Purefoods is also heading to another quarterfinal appearance after topping Pool C with a clean 3-0 slate. The Tender Juicy Titans finished group play unblemished after dealing the three-man TNT a 21-19 heartbreaker.

Limitless App also joins after ending up as the pool’s second-best team. They earlier defeated a Larry Fonacier-less CAVITEX, 21-17.
