Teng set to make return on Saturday

King Archer Jeron Teng is set to make his return after missing the De La Salle University Green Archers’ last two games on Saturday, October 15.

Teng, who had treatment for his bone spurs on his left heel days before La Salle took on the Ateneo de Manila University last Sunday, was on hand during La Salle’s second round encounter against Adamson. He shared that the time frame for his recovery is on target as he was able to return to practice last Saturday.

“Better na. Actually, I practiced na yesterday,” the 22-year-old said.

“I’ll be back next game for sure.”

Being able to watch his teammates on the sidelines gave him a new perspective to the game. He is hoping that he could utilize this when the Green Archers take on the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in their second match for the second round of the UAAP Season 79 Men’s Basketball tournament.UAAP-79-DLSU-vs.-ADMU-Teng-0801 Teng set to make return on Saturday Basketball DLSU News UAAP - philippine sports news

“It’s nice na kahit I’m on the bench, I know what’s happening,” he said. “Siguro yun, may natututunan din ako rito na madadala ko pagkabalik ko.”

“We follow a system. We all play together. We play as a team.”

The fifth-year forward is averaging 16.3 points on 41.7 shooting, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in the six games he has played this season.
