All teams finish first PBA bubble scrimmage as players test negative for COVID-19


PBA team training went full throttle, with all 12 ball clubs holding scrimmages at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

Practices began at 7 a.m., with Alaska hitting the main court at the fourth floor of the facility, which has long been the league’s home in Pampanga.

The Aces practiced at the same time as Blackwater, which held its own session at the converted gymnasium located at the second floor.

Two teams simultaneously work out for two hours at the venue, which will serve as the official venue of the season resumption.

Thirty minutes are allocated every after practice for court sanitization.

After Alaska and Blackwater, Philippine Cup favorites Barangay Ginebra and Magnolia followed suit.

NLEX and Meralco then hit the courts at lunch time, followed by NorthPort and Phoenix Super LPG at 2:30 p.m.

Defending five-time Philippine Cup champions San Miguel practiced at 5;00 p.m., the same time as Rain or Shine.

The new-look TNT Tropang Giga and the youth-laden Terra Firma were the last set of teams that worked out for the day.

The league has scheduled different schedules of practice for each team every day.

Teams were allowed to hold scrimmages in the bubble after all tested negative from the coronavirus (COVID-19).
