Another Team Lakay standout has chosen ONE Championship as his home.
Jeremy Pacatiw has signed a multi-fight deal with the Home of Martial Arts.
“Masayang masaya ko kasi ‘yun ‘yung pangarap ko. Finally, answered prayer,” the Baguio-native said on a video posted by Team Lakay.
Pacatiw (10-4), 25, did not renew with BRAVE CF last February. BRAVE was his home promotion since 2016.
Pacatiw last fought back in December of 2019, a knockout win against Felipe Efrain during BRAVE CF 33.
The product of University of the Cordilleras said that he has grown much as a mixed martial artist since then.
“Siguro, ‘yun nakita nila nun, may kailangan pa i-improve. Ibang Jeremy Pacatiw ang makikita nila,” he said.
In ONE Championship, he joins a plethora of Team Lakay stablemates headlined by reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua Pacio, Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon, and Geje Eustaquio.
Also in ONE are Lito Adiwang, Honorio Banario, Gina Iniong, Edward Kelly, Danny Kingad, April Osenio, Jenelyn Olsim, and latest signees Stephen Loman and Jhanlo Sangiao.
With this, Pacatiw does not know which division he will fight in. But he remains ready on whoever ONE puts in front of him.
“Bantamweight pero depende na kay Coach [Mark Sangiao]. Madaming high-caliber na fighter dun. Kung sino bigay ng ONE Championship sa akin, okay lang.”
