Former Philippine Superliga president Ramon “Tats” Suzara has come out with a statement with regards to the complaint that was filed against him by the PSL.
The current executive director of the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee welcomed any inquiry into his time as PSL president and clarified his reason for stepping down last May of 2018.
“I will answer the Complaint in the proper forum. I welcome any investigation or inquiry regarding the malicious accusations thrown against me. Everything I did as President of PSL was above board, transparent, properly recorded and with full knowledge of the Board,” his statement read.
“To correct any misconception, I resigned as President of PSL because the ideals which we all fought for has been replaced by self serving interest of certain personalities.”
The PSL board filed a complaint through the National Bureua of Investigation for qualified theft against Suzara and former PSL finance director Donaldo Caringal.
According to the PSL, the two allowed the release of funds from the league that led to a lot of irregularities.
