Even Tab Baldwin — as tireless as he is — has his limits.
The 61-year-old tactician was rushed to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City on Friday evening.
According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, Baldwin felt dizzy in the middle of the Ateneo Blue Eagles’ practice at the Moro Lorenzo Gym in Quezon City. Team officials then decided to call an ambulance and rush him to the hospital.
“He was not feeling well in practice. It’s obvious that he was under a lot of stress. That’s when we decided that it’s best to bring him to the hospital,” said Blue Eagles team manager Epok Quimpo.
For the last two months, Baldwin has been juggling three jobs.
Besides acting as chief tactician of the Blue Eagles, Baldwin is also the program director of Gilas Pilipinas Men. He is also the assistant coach to PBA club TNT Katropa.
Baldwin never missed a practice for all three teams.
“Coach Tab’s health is our prime concern at this point. We’re all wishing for his speedy recovery,” Quimpo added.
